April 2023 YOTM: Indie Coffee Shop Day

Dye Mad yarns combines a love of Ohio history, politics, quirks, and absurdism with a keen sense of color and dye yarns that highlight the fun and whimsy in our inspirational subject: Ohio and the Midwest. Whether its landmarks, food, politics, experiences, or cryptids, Dye Mad is a love letter to the midwest and its weirdness.

Our business is based in the state now known as Ohio, specifically on Shawnee, Myaamia, Hopewell, Kaskakia land. We are guests of the traditional stewards of this land. Ohio the traditional territory of hundreds of different indigenous tribes and nations, including the Erie, Wyandotte, Mingo, Shawnee, Delaware, Miami, Huron, Ojibwe, Potawatomi and Odawa. In spite of ethnic cleansing, forcible removal, unrecognized sovereignty, and outright denial of their existence, indigenous people are still here.
