On May 27, 2019 another tornado hit my hometown and my parents’ shed fell victim to this F3 tornado. (They are fine, don’t worry!)\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp dir=\"ltr\"\u003e\u003cspan\u003eThis month’s Skein Society is based on my fascination with and love of Midwestern weather. If you have been in or near severe weather, you probably recognize the eerie green glow of tornado skies. I tried to capture this in this month’s Skein Society color, \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan\u003eDead Man Walking\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan\u003e, which is named after the F5 tornado that hit Jarrell, TX on May 27, 1997. \u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp dir=\"ltr\"\u003e\u003cspan\u003eJust like a tornado, the green will glow (if placed under a UV light\/blacklight). \u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003ePlease note that yarn colors may vary per base as each type of fiber dyes differently.
