Rusty Ferris Wheel
$28.00Did you know that Ohio has just a PLETHORA of abandoned, defunct, and torn down amusement parks? This color way could be inspired by Lake Chippewa's amusement park, or Geauga Lake, or Luna Park, or Euclid Beach. Really, you could spend an entire afternoon going down rabbit holes of abandoned and defunct amusement parks in Ohio's history.
There's just something about an abandoned amusement park, even beyond the aspect of urban exploration. The unnerving silence of a place once teeming with laughter, music and sound. The contrast of the one bright, vibrant, obnoxious amount of color paired with the rust, inevitable grey of concrete, and overgrowth of green because nature will always reclaim what was originally hers. The feeling that there must be people here, as there once was too many. Surely, they aren't haunted, but what is that uneasy feeling?
Rusty Ferris Wheel could just as easily be named Abandoned Theme Park. It's a bright, cheery blue, contrasted with rusty red, and speckles of red-brown.
