Learn a new skill or brush up on the basics and take home 2 handmade coasters!
This is a 2 part class and is made for absolute beginners who want to tackle the very basics of knitting. Classes will be held on Sunday, February 2nd and Sunday, February 9th from 4pm - 6pm at the Dye Mad Yarns Store.
Techniques covered in this class:
- How to make a slip knot
- How to cast on
- How to knit in garter stitch
- How to knit in stockinette stitch
- How to bind off and finish your project
Materials Needed
- US Size 8 (5mm) Knitting Needles
- Tapestry Needle
- Scissors
- worsted weight yarn <50 yds
Students are not obligated to purchase their yarn and supplies from Dye Mad Yarns, but do get 15% off! Just let whoever is checking you out that you're shopping for a class with us.
Prerequisites
None! This is a beginner class.
