February '25 YOTM: Felt Cute, Might Die Later

by Dye Mad Yarns

"I am already sick of love, My very gentle Valentine."

The first Valentine on record is from 1415 and it was from Charles, the Duke of Orleans to his wife, Bonne. He was imprisoned in the Tower of London and missed her terribly. His imprisonment lasted for 25 years and unfortunately, he never got to see her again, as she died 5 years before his release. He did become an accomplished poet though, with his words forever a reminder of his love.

Thankfully, we’re writing this from the table at the shop, thinking of you and sending you flowers! We’ve had this one in our back pockets for a while now and have been excited to share it at just the right time - now apparently! Felt Cute, Might Die Later (because Ashley’s brain still lives in 2017 sometimes) is inspired by succulents! I'd make the joke that it’s the only plant I can keep alive, but somewhere in my 30s I became a plant murderer and here we are!
