January '22 YOTM: Cross-Generational Solidarity & Questionably Purple

by Dye Mad Yarns

This month’s color is meant to be a sock set, so you’ve got a full sized skein to coordinate with a mini skein that is my attempt at the color of the year, Veri Peri. I’m calling it Questionably Purple, because it looks blue until you think about it too much. Also, ✨blurple✨.

When I was making guesses for the color of the year, I was thinking something akin to a sage green, with the massive movement towards green as a neutral (I am pro-this sentiment), and obviously it wasn’t BUT the pink and green were listed as complementary colors to Veri Peri. This skein is giving me very much like, Millennial Pink + Gen Z green. The internet says that Gen Z’s color is yellow and I firmly disagree, but I am technically not the authority on what colors define a generation.
