Lake Erie

The last in our fade, but closest to our hearts (at least in proximity) is Lake Erie. Lake Erie is the smallest by volume, shallowest, and southernmost Great Lake. It straddles the US-Canada border, surrounded by the province of Ontario and the states of Michigan, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and New York.

The name Erie comes from indigenous people who lived along its southern edge.

Our Lake Erie yarn is a sea foam green with hints of blue, unfortunately a reflection of the algae bloom that often plagues Lake Erie due to ecological and environmental issues.
