Cincinnati Market Radish

Bet you thought this pink had to be a beet! Nope, it's a radish masquerading as a carrot! In all seriousness, long radishes were super popular in the early 1900s, often being the most expensive at the farmers market, but rounder radishes were popularized for commercial production, overwhelming the bazaar and changing what shape we think of. These Ohio natives also got the nickname "Glass Radishes" because of their brittle nature and ease of snapping the root.  We're loving this neon, deep berry pink.
