Ahead of YarnCon 2025, we're bringing you Chicago Mothman, a variant of our classic Mothman yarn!

In 2021, there were purportedly five sightings of some kind of winged humanoid figure flying above people around Lake Michigan. Could it be a Sandhill Crane? Maybe! Is that the fun answer? You know it's not! The creature was even spotted by a veteran postal worker at the O'Hare International Airport. The Chicago Mothman has been described as seven feet tall, red eyed, and what appeared to be a coat was actually a huge wing span. It also screeches as it flies over people!

Our Chicago Mothman is right on the border of charcoal grey and slate blue, and finished with black speckles.

Please note that yarn colors may vary per base as each type of fiber dyes differently. You can learn more on our Yarn Base FAQ page.
