Ostara

Ostara, Easter, Eostre - all are variations of celebrations for the vernal equinox and return of Spring. It celebrates fertility, rebirth, renewal, coming out of winter to warmer and greener days. The vernal equinox in 2023 falls on Monday, March 20th.

Simple ways to celebrate the holiday include painting eggs, planting seeds, spring cleaning, enjoy a bouquet of fresh flowers. First ones to return in the spring are daffodils, crocuses, snapdragons, irises, tulips, ranunculus (really any of those flowers with a bulb??? Funny since they look like eggs).

With our Ostara yarn, the vibe we're going for is SPRING. We've got yellow for daffodils, robins egg blue, a hint of mint, and a spring green the color of new growth, because that's what we're celebrating. New growth.
