The Magician
$6.00He's number one!! The number of new beginnings, of opportunities!
In most interpretations of the Magician card (at least Rider-Waite-Smith decks), the Magician stands with one arm stretched towards the sky and other points down to earth. His robe is white and his cloak is red. On the table in front of him are the four suits from the Tarot - a cup, pentacle, sword and wand, each symbolizing the four elements - water, earth, air and fire. Above his head is the infinity symbol, and around his waist is the Ouroboros.
The Magician is all about making things happen, about manifesting - it brings you the tools and resources you need to make your dreams come true. You have the spiritual, physical, mental and emotional resources to be the alchemist of your desires! The Magician is an auspicious card to pull upright - it is time to move forward on an idea you have recently conceived. The seed of potential is fruitful and now it is time for action!
However, while the card tells you that you have the tools, but it is also asking if you have the why. It's not enough to have everything you need to move forward, you must also have a clear vision! This is a card about commitment to your ideas, so it is a card insisting you to focus on your action.
Reversed? The Magician sees that you are exploring what you are manifesting, but it recognizes that you're not taking action yet. Are you uncertain if you have everything you need? Let the universe figure out the how, if you have the why. Are you acting and not making progress? Have you lost touch with your why, or is your why not what you thought it would be? Is your outcome and manifestation unclear? It might be time to work back. At worst, the Magician reversed is greed, manipulation, or trickery. If you're not working for your highest good, or for the good of those around you, maybe your manifestation isn't working out the way you think it should.
Ultimately, the Magician card knows you can put in the work and have all the things to make things happen and it's asking - why aren't you?
Our Magician is reminiscent of a wizard's cloak - light and dark blues, purple, and gold.
