Butterfly Weed
$24.00A milkweed!! Of course!!
Butterfly weed is native to eastern and southwestern North America. Despite its common name, the primary pollinators of these flowers are bees and wasps. It is however, a larval food of the queen and monarch butterflies, as well as a handful of moth species.
It's another plant that is relatively toxic to humans, but has been used in Native American medicine to treat respiratory issues.
Our butterfly weed yarn is a creamsicle orange base with fiery orange speckles.
Please note that yarn colors may vary per base as each type of fiber dyes differently. You can learn more on our Yarn Base FAQ page.
