Cancer

Cancer is our cardinal water sign, ruled by the moon and represented by the constellation, Cancer. Most often, their depiction is that of the crab (Cancer is "crab" in Latin). The summer solstice starts the beginning of Cancer season.

As our third cardinal sign, Cancers are initiators, with drive and ambition. Ruled by the Moon, they also represent self-care, comfort, and maternal energies. Unsurprisingly, they have a reputation for being a bit on the crabby side and some astrological slander would call them cry-babies. Cancers can be sensitive and emotional, but tender and nurturing under that hard shell. They could be interpreted to have "Mama Bear" energy. As the ruler of the fourth house, Cancer rules the house of home life - they're all about a cozy and comfortable home, and creating a tightknit family.

Cancer and Capricorns are sister-signs (our first completed pair of sister signs!) and, at their best, are the embodiment of a good work-life balance.

Our Cancer yarn is somewhat inspired by the blue crab - beachy blue, coral pink, with splashes of green, orange and yellow, and speckled with red and sea blue.
