Fresno Nightcrawler

by Dye Mad Yarns

The Fresno Nightcrawler, also known as the Fresno alien is perhaps the newest cryptid on our list. Sightings of the nightcrawler have been only on video in California, but they’ve also been sighted in Poland, and there’s a version of the Nightcrawler called the Carmel Area Monster where it is described as a tall, thin, grey or while armless humanoid creature (which fits the description of a creature seen in Ohio, because of course it does).

Sightings in California and Poland have only been seen on film, not in person, and both sightings show creatures that are relatively short. They have long legs and extremely short torsos in proportion to their overall height. It is hard to find details in the upper body of the cryptid due to the poor quality of the footage. They have no discernible arms. Honestly, they look like they’re a sentient pair of pants off on a midnight stroll.

Some attempted explanations for the the Nightcrawlers include

  • An alien or extraterrestrial being.
  • A new species. Possibly a primate with short arms.
  • A misidentified deer standing upright.
  • Pants and/or a puppet on a wire
  • A bird walking like a crane.
  • A person wearing big pants and walking on stilts

While we don’t know for sure, we do know that the Fresno Nightcrawler has been a charming addition to pop culture over the last 12 years.

Our Fresno Nightcrawler yarn is reminiscent of that video footage capturing their likeness - a pale nightvision security TV green, white, and finished with grey speckles,
