Hockey Mom

One of the most fun parts of having our brick and mortar is getting to know the folks who come into the shop! When we were downtown, we were the closest yarn shop to the Columbus Convention Center and it was always interesting to see which types of conventions would send people our way. Public Library Association? We probably saw half the folks who went. Ice skating competition? Hello! You look so cozy in your knits! Tabletop RPG con? You know it. In town for the Arnold? Oh wow!

This yarn is for one of the folks we know we see (and one that Kelley is also a part of): hockey moms! Never do we see so many folks hanging out and knitting or crocheting than at their kid's hockey practices and games. It makes sense - it is cold on the ice after all!

Our Hockey Mom yarn is inspired by our hometown team, the Columbus Blue Jackets, and their alternative/third jerseys. It's primarily navy blue with a touch of ivory and steel blue. You can pair it with Solidarity for some extra CBJ flair, or Stinger (currently in-store only)!

Please note that yarn colors may vary per base as each type of fiber dyes differently. You can learn more on our Yarn Base FAQ page.
