Lake Michigan is the second color in our fade, and the second largest of the Great Lakes by volume. It is also the largest lake by area *in a single country*. The Straits of Mackinac separate Lake Michigan from Lake Huron though they *technically* are a single lake!

The Ojibwe name for Lake Michigan is michi-gami, meaning Great Water.

Our Lake Michigan is a deep sapphire blue color, with hints of navy and deep sea green.

Original photo is pictured on Chester Sock in a light box, unedited except for cropping. Second photo is all five bases. From left to right: Chubby Trevor, Genny Worsted, Griffin Worsted, Minnie DK, and Chester Sock. Photo is taken in indirect natural light in front of a window.
