Wheel Spa with Bricolage Studios - 11/2
$0.00Dye Mad Yarns is hosting Emily of Bricolage Studios for weekend workshops and a trunk show! Bricolage Studios offers hand dyed fiber goods and unique textural fiber batts in small batch colorways as well as handcrafted metal jewelry lines incorporating handspun wirecore yarn or needle felted wool. Raw, unprocessed fibers are sourced domestically, mostly in state and around the midwest, to support local as much as possible. These fibers are picked, washed, and dyed by hand and are selected for their crimp, luster, lock structure, and color.
Emily also regularly teaches both jewelry/metalsmithing classes and spinning/fiber blending classes at the Kalamazoo Institute of Arts in addition to travelling to shows, retreats, and guilds around the country to speak, teach, and vend.
Give your wheel a spa day! Emily Wohlscheid will be on site to help you learn all the places you may be neglecting to oil, assist in light repairs/recommendations (i.e. how to stitch a drive band, suppliers of replacement parts, etc.), and provide resources for keeping your wheel in tip top shape. Please bring tools specific to your wheel (if any!)
This class will coincide with a Sunday Spin In - bring your wheel for some much needed love and enjoy the fruits of your labor with a wonderful afternoon of spinning! Drop in anytime from 12-4pm on Sunday, November 2nd.
This class is donation based. Funds from this class will go in to a scholarship fund to help get folks spinning!
