Cathulhu

I'm a big fan of absurdist horror, so it's hard to turn down an opportunity to merge that with another love of mine: cats. Enter Cathulhu, the cat + Cthulhu hybrid. Ia! Ia! Ph'nglui MEOW'nafh Cathulhu R'lyeh wgah'nagl fhtagn!
Materials:

Worsted Weight cotton yarn

g hook
-
safety eyes
-
polyfil stuffing
-
polyfil beads (I used black eyed peas, which also work!)
Abbreviations:
sc- single crochet
inc – increase (2 sc in same stitch)
invdec – invisible decrease
ch – chain
sl st – slip stitch
# in parentheses is # of stitches you should have at the end of the round
Repeat from ** five times
Pattern:
Head:
1. sl st, ch 2, then 5sc in 2nd ch from hook (5)
2. inc around (10)
3. *1sc in next st, then inc* (15)
4. *2sc in next 2 st, then inc* (20)
5. *3sc in next 3 st, then inc* (25)
6. *4sc in next 4 st, then inc* (30)
7. sc around (30)
8. *4sc in next 4st, then invdec* (25)
9. *3sc in next 3st, then invdec* (20)
10. *2sc in next 2st, then invdec* (15)
11. Add safety eyes here, stuff with polyfil, and FO.
Body:
1. sl st, ch 2, then 5sc in 2nd ch from hook (5)
2. inc around (10)
3. *1sc in next st, then inc* (15)
4 - 8. sc around
9. fill with polyfil beads, or beans, etc. Whip stitch to head.
Ears (make 2):
1. sl st, ch 2, 4sc in 2nd ch from hook (4)
2. 1sc, inc, 1sc, inc (6)
3. 2sc, inc, 2sc, inc (8). FO.
Tentacles (make three):
1. sl st, ch 8, 2sc in 2nd chain from hook (aka, an increase).
2. 2sc in every stitch across. Tentacles will curl.
3. FO and stitch to mouth area of head.
