The World
$6.00The last card in the major arcana, the World represents endings and the completion of your journey.Â
At its center, the World has a dancing figure. One leg is crossed over the other, and they are carrying a wand in each hand. There is balance in the movement, she is meant to represent that unity and fulfillment is not static, but ever shifting, ever-changing, dynamic.Â
There is a green wreath of flowers that surround her, a symbol of success. The ribbons at the bottom and top look like infinity symbols. There are figures in each of the four corners, the same found on the Wheel of Fortune. They represent the fixed signs: Scorpio, Leo, Aquarius, and Taurus. Four elements, four corners, a harmony between all the energies.Â
Pulling this card in a reading upright is an acknowledgment of completion, achievement, maybe wholeness and harmony, a sense of belonging. There is something of a success to celebrate here. It is supposed to be a card that links the inner and outer worlds, the self and the other. Maybe you're reaching a flow state, or nirvana, but regardless you are feeling connected to the rhythm of the universe and participating in it, too!Â
Reversed? Eh, not feeling it as much. You're maybe feeling empty, stuck on a lack of achievement, feeling incomplete. Is there a lack of closure for something in your life? You are near the end of a journey, and there may be lots of accomplishments along the way, but maybe you're not feeling the way you had hoped, or wanted. What's missing? Are you feeling connected to what you're doing? What is alienating you from feeling complete?Â
Ultimately, the World is a card for reflecting on the completion of your journey. Are you where you thought you'd be or where you wanted to be at the end of this?Â
Our World card is a green and blue with speckles, and a stripe of white - great for some assigned pooling knitting!Â
